The philosophy…. The Journey

Life can be challenging and inevitably we all experience difficult times that cause struggle. This struggle manifests itself in many ways with detrimental effects on physical and mental health, spiritual well being, and feelings of disconnection. Or it may simply feel like we are searching for that missing piece to life’s puzzle.

The approach presented here is in how we manage these obstacles and the trials and tribulations of this journey or perceive them in a different way.

Some aspects of Dr. S’ approach may seem familiar as they are not re-inventing methods that exist in some form to improve well being and mental health. However, these are at times are presented in isolation separated by lack of open mindedness and dividing voices in society.

Rather, this platform provides a unique space for multiple approaches/methods and treatments which are introduced in a responsible and educational way. This provides opportunity/accessibility for exploration, growth and to ask questions.

Also through relating to others who share their struggles as well their successes, this helps to inspire active pursuit of healthier ways of life with a particular additional attention to the action of Doing Good.

This all provides fertile ground to form your own insights and methods, so you may grow and evolve.

“Using a holistic/integrative approach to Mind , Body, Spirt and how it is connected to our environment facilitates perceiving lifes puzzles in a different way.”

Keeping in mind of ones own religious or spiritual beliefs, cultural background and identity, this approach is inclusive in nature and thrives on the diversity of thought, ideas and approaches to self fulfillment.

Dr. S has worked with individuals of various backgrounds and conditions encompassing mental to physical health including depression/anxiety and other psychiatric disorders to chronic pain. With particular experience with the Veteran population, ADHD clients and in sports psychiatry.

With these various factors that can be unique to each individual, these concepts are guidelines and most importantly one ultimately chooses which concepts or ideas resonate most with them.

This provides a framework or roadmap for a person’s journey which can be adapted for each individual in the goal to forge their own path. And encourage self actualization which will keep evolving with their guiding core principles.

Learning and using their own core values as an inner compass to guide them along their own unique journey.

This growth and belief in yourself to Act in a manner and Respond to the challenges you face will result in the ability to be in the present as well as better outcomes in the future.

Be Well and Do good.
